athletics day at Lovelock track

Ki ora bloggers my name is Libby from Room 8. On Tuesday the 3rd we had athletics day at lovelock track. lovelock track is a sports traing place were athlets practist running jumping and throwing. ech year group gose to a diffrint activatiy then we all swap arouwned. there are 5 activates dicus, shotput, running and hi jump. I did the running first and came third in the one hundred meters. but I think that my Favorited was the hi jump.

Bradley's Monster

In the book 'There is a boy in the girls bathroom', Bradley describes himself as a monster. I have used Google Drawing tools to make a monster as he described. Do you think Bradley's monster is only bad or can it be good as well?

Bob's Great Leap......

During Lockdown, for our home learning, we had some rich challenges to choose from. I decided on the one that wanted me to construct a parachute: It had to be able to safely land an egg from 2 meters! Here is a video of how it went. I hope you enjoy it.

Best Book

The best book I have ever read is Wings of Fire. I really like it because it's very existing and some times scary too. It also has Dragons in it witch I like the most because Dragons are one of my Favorited animals.   

My family tradition

One of my favourite family traditions is, that every year we go some were special like Australia or Christchurch. Because my Grandma and Grandpa and my cousins live there. At my cousin's house they have to dogs the dogs are called Ripley and Piper. They also have a pool and we go swimming in it every day. At my grandparent's house they also have a pool, but sins they live in Christchurch its a bit too cold to swim in. So some times we have a big bonfire because they have a big farm and have lots of old wood and twigs lying around so we can make one huge bonfire.     

My Dream Job

My dream job is to become a dog trainer. Because I 've always loved dogs and interacting with them and finding out what their personalities are. My second dream job is to become a palaeontologist because I've always liked dinosaurs and how their body works.         

Travel to Japan

If I could travel anywhere in the whole world I would go to Japan because my mum has been there before and she keeps on talking about how great it is' with all the lights and fireworks and of course the ice cream Sundays and shops. If I was going to go to Japan I would take with me one of my good friends Zoe because we would have so much fun together at Disneyland.                     

Easter

On Easter, I got up pretty early because I had planned out an egg hunt for my dad and my mum. There were clues and eggs everywhere. When I showed them the first clue they raced off as fast as they could. After they had found all of the eggs it was my turn. I went into my room so they could hide the eggs. Finally, I could come out. They gave me the first clue and I sped off. I had gotten a lot of small eggs, one egg that was bigger than my head and a chocolate rabbit yum. 

Kupe

Kupe: History tells us that Kupe was a brave and clever navigator. He sailed in a waka from Hawaiiki around the Pacific Ocean and discovered New Zealand. He had a wife and 2 daughters who sailed with him. I don't think that he was a very good person because he drowned his cousin for his wife when he already had a beautiful wife named Hine Te Aparangi. Also he only thought about himself so he was pretty selfish too. To be a good leader you need to put everyone else first. I don't think he would have done that.

Howick Historical Village

On Thursday we went to a old paces called the historical village its from the 18'50's it sows were the rich and poor people lived it also showed what the schools look like in 18'50. we had some activities to do. The first task was we had to decode a message then we wood follow what the message said it said we had to go to the next activity winch was the school it was very strict with the KANE!!!! It was like the real thing. after that we went to play some old games I like the stilts the best my dad was there and he kept falling over. Then we was time to go for a tor of the hall pales freest we went to the rich peoples hose it was very creepy because there were dolls. What a fun day I had by historical village.
