titpounamu

  hello bloggers this is what I have done so far with my titpounamu writing! we have been learning about the titi in class, did you know that the titipounamu is the size of a golf ball!. blog you later bye!

Titipounamu is a small curies and natiy bird. It is a soft emerald green colour, with a white and brown under belly. The little bird weighs about as much as 6 paper clips and is the size of golf ball.

The ship rats are old ugly brownish black rats that can climb up trees and get to Titipounamu nests. They are a big threat to the Titipounamu...

The sanctuary caretakers are doing there best to keep the ship rats away from the birds. All the caretakers are always putting up traps next to the trees and nests. Every day they wear the same clothes, dark green shorts, a black jumper and wherever they go they always carry a radio.

The forest is a very lushies green place and There are trees sprouting everywhere. Wherever you are in the forest you can always hear the water fall

Hello my name is Titi that is short for Titipounamu. I live in an amazing place called zulandia. There are trees thick strong trees everywhere and the light of the sun shines through the light green leaves.

The caretakers are very good at keep are environment safe for pests, like rats and things. But one day when my dad went out to get some food for me and my brothers he was attacked by a big fat rat!! That thing nearly tour his wing off! Luckily he made it out alive...

Later that night I overheard my mum and my dad squawking about moving nests. They said that they were going to move us to another sanctuary. The next day we all had to grab what little we could carry, I was scared to leave home but mum said it was for the best. We managed to make it to the middle of the thick dense forest,
